The ONWARDS 11 clinical study is evaluating a once-weekly investigational insulin compared to daily insulin treatments in adults with type 1 diabetes. This study aims to learn more about how different insulin approaches help manage blood sugar levels over time.
If you have type 1 diabetes, you may be eligible to participate in this clinical research study.
Who May Qualify
Are 18 years of age or older
Have been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes for at least 1 year
Have been using multiple daily insulin injections for at least 6 months
Have an A1c between 7.0% and 10.0%
About the Study
This study is part of a global clinical research program evaluating how a once-weekly insulin (insulin icodec) compares to daily insulin treatments currently available. The goal is to better understand how these approaches manage blood sugar in adults with type 1 diabetes.
What This Study Involves
If you qualify and choose to participate, you may be asked to:
Use a study insulin delivered once weekly via an injection pen
Wear a continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) device
Track dosing and complete questionnaires using a study app
Attend scheduled visits for health checks and lab work
Participate for approximately 8–10 months
