The Center for Diabetes, Obesity and Metabolism is actively enrolling participants for clinical research studies focused on diabetes, weight management, and related conditions. Each study is designed to evaluate potential new treatment options while providing a structured and supportive experience for participants.

Type 1 Diabetes Study

We are currently enrolling adults with type 1 diabetes for a clinical research study evaluating a once-weekly insulin compared to daily insulin treatments. This study is part of a global research program aimed at improving blood sugar management.

You may qualify if you:

  • Are 18 years or older

  • Have been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes for at least 1 year

  • Use multiple daily insulin injections

  • Meet certain A1c requirements

Type 2 Diabetes Study

This study is evaluating an investigational medication to determine its impact on blood glucose levels and weight management in adults with type 2 diabetes.

You may qualify if you:

  • Are 18 years or older

  • Have type 2 diabetes

  • Have a BMI greater than 25

Obesity Study

This study is focused on evaluating an investigational medication for weight management in adults.

You may qualify if you:

  • Are 18 years or older

  • Have a BMI greater than 27 with a related condition

  • Or have a BMI greater than 30

Cardiovascular Study

This study is evaluating an investigational medication to better understand its impact on cardiovascular outcomes in adults with obesity and type 2 diabetes.

You may qualify if you:

  • Are 18 years or older

  • Have a BMI greater than 27 with a related condition (including type 2 diabetes)

  • Or have a BMI greater than 30

GLP-1 Based Therapies

These studies are evaluating investigational GLP-1 based therapies to better understand their impact on blood sugar control and weight management in adults with metabolic conditions such as type 2 diabetes and obesity.

You may qualify if you:

  • Are 18 years or older

  • Have type 2 diabetes or are seeking weight management support

  • Have a BMI greater than 27 with a related condition

  • Or have a BMI greater than 30
